Oriva, an Addingwell alternative
Published on by the Oriva team.
Addingwell is a managed server-side GTM platform: it hosts the infrastructure that runs your Google Tag Manager server container, and it is up to you, or your agency, to configure the clients, tags and triggers in it. It bills per request received by the container, with a free plan of 100,000 requests. Oriva has no GTM container: you paste a snippet, or you send your sales from your server, and Oriva passes them to Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and ChatGPT Ads, at a flat price per domain. If your site is already on GTM and you want to keep your tags, Addingwell is made for you. If you have no GTM and don't want to maintain one, that is Oriva's case.
What is Addingwell, exactly?
A platform that hosts a server-side GTM container. You create a web container and a server container in Google Tag Manager yourself, link the server to Addingwell with a token and a subdomain, then configure your tags in it.
Addingwell provides the infrastructure (automatic scaling, first-party domain, script proxying for ad blockers) and tag templates that you import: Meta CAPI, TikTok Events API, Google Ads through the Data Manager API, and OpenAI CAPI for ChatGPT Ads. It has belonged to Didomi since April 2025, announced by Didomi on April 22, 2025; Addingwell states that contracts do not change.
How much does it cost?
Information read on October 13, 2026 on addingwell.com and docs.addingwell.com. It may have changed since: check its pages before deciding.
| Addingwell | Oriva | |
|---|---|---|
| Billing unit | The request received by your container, scripts included (gtm.js, gtag.js) | The domain |
| Free | Free plan of 100,000 requests a month, no card | 14-day trial, card asked for |
| Entry paid tier | “From €90 a month” for 2 million requests | 79 a month (Starter), 100,000 events, 1 domain |
| Next tier | €190 for 10 million requests | 199 a month (Pro), 1 million events, 5 domains |
| Extra site | + €30 a month | Included in the plan's domains |
| Commitment | Monthly (Pay as you go); annual (Enterprise) | Monthly, no commitment |
A request at Addingwell and an event at Oriva are not counted the same way: the two columns cannot be compared line by line. A low-traffic site may pay nothing at Addingwell, thanks to the free plan. Oriva's prices are also on the pricing page.
What do you need to know how to do?
At Addingwell, you need a web container and a server container provisioned by hand, a tracking subdomain, then to create clients, tags, triggers and variables in server GTM. An event must first arrive from the web container through a GA4 tag. Double tracking (pixel and server API) with deduplication stays on you, unless you use their combined tag.
At Oriva, you need a snippet, or a call from your server, then one form per destination. No container to maintain.
What does this change for you?
- No GTM to maintain. If you have no container, Oriva skips the step that does not exist on its side.
- A price per domain, not per request. What your site loads does not change your bill.
- A log per sale. For each conversion, Oriva shows which platform it went to, what the platform answered and the error explained in plain words. Addingwell exposes request logs and alerts: the difference is one of form, per conversion and per destination, with a fix suggested.
- An affiliate postback open to any network. Addingwell documents Awin and CJ Affiliate; Oriva sends a configurable postback to any network.
- Where your data is hosted, to check with both. Addingwell's Trust Center publishes its data processing agreement (in French and in English) and names Google Cloud Platform as its host; it gives no default country. Oriva stores its data in the European Union.
Who doesn't need Oriva?
- Your site is already on GTM and you want to run your existing tags server-side, without rewriting them.
- You send to many other platforms (Microsoft, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, X), or to GA4, Matomo or Piano, through the same server.
- You have a data team or an agency that knows how to configure a server container and wants fine control: filterable logs, reverse proxy DNS, cookie restoration on Safari, an option on your own Google Cloud organization.
- You need enterprise terms: annual contract, invoice, custom DPA and SLA, account manager, security audit reports published in its Trust Center.
- You send offline events (store, calls, CRM) to Google or Meta: Addingwell's documentation describes it.
Oriva is for when you have no GTM, don't want to maintain one, and want your sales to reach four platforms at a price you know in advance.
